【短文】The Hockey Reporter
【短文】冰球小记者
"Lin, you are on duty today! Don't forget the blackboard," says Mrs. Wang at 7:50 a.m.
“林，你今天值日！别忘了黑板，”王老师早上7:50说。
Lin gets up at six thirty every day. He takes a shower and gets dressed. Then he brushes his teeth.
林每天六点半起床。他洗澡、穿衣服，然后刷牙。
He usually has breakfast at home. His daily routine is busy, but he can make use of every quarter of an hour.
他通常在家吃早饭。他的日常安排很忙，但他能利用每一刻钟。
At school, Lin is a reporter for the school radio. He stays in the library after class.
在学校，林是校广播站的小记者。放学后他待在图书馆。
"What is your weekend routine?" he asks Mia, a Finnish exchange student.
“你周末的日常安排是什么？”他问米娅，一位芬兰交换生。
"I get up late at weekends," says Mia. "I play ice hockey with my brother. The ice is already dark outside."
“周末我起得晚，”米娅说。“我和哥哥打冰球。外面冰场已经暗了。”
"Ice hockey? Only boys play it in my town," Lin says.
“冰球？在我们镇只有男孩打，”林说。
"No, girls play too. It is a big part of everyday life in Finland," Mia says.
“不，女孩也打。这是芬兰日常生活的重要部分，”米娅说。
Lin says, "But girls must stay at home and do housework. My sister prepares dinner while my mother cleans."
林说：“但女孩必须待在家里做家务。我姐姐做饭，我妈妈打扫。”
Mia stops. "That is a saying, not a rule. My mother is a doctor. She works at a restaurant on weekends."
米娅停下来。“那是说法，不是规定。我妈妈是医生。她周末在一家餐馆工作。”
Lin is quiet. He looks at his notebook. He writes: "Girls can play ice hockey."
林沉默了。他看着笔记本。他写道：“女孩可以打冰球。”
After school, Lin goes to the ice rink. Mia is there. She has a hockey stick in her hand.
放学后，林去冰场。米娅在那里。她手里拿着一根冰球棍。
"Do you want to try?" Mia asks. "You can make use of my extra stick."
“你想试试吗？”米娅问。“你可以用我的备用球棍。”
Lin takes the stick. He falls on the ice. He laughs. "This is hard!"
林接过球棍。他摔在冰上。他笑了。“这好难！”
"Keep going," Mia says. "You are a good reporter. Now you can report on ice hockey too."
“继续，”米娅说。“你是个好记者。现在你也可以报道冰球了。”
At 8:30 p.m., Lin goes to bed. He is tired but happy.
晚上8:30，林上床睡觉。他很累但很开心。
On Monday, Lin reads his report on the school radio.
周一，林在校广播里读他的报道。
"Ice hockey is for everyone. Girls and boys. Finnish and Chinese. It is part of daily life here now."
“冰球适合每个人。女孩和男孩。芬兰人和中国人。现在它也是这里日常生活的一部分。”
After the radio show, Mia gives Lin a small Finnish flag. Lin puts it on his desk.
广播节目结束后，米娅给林一面小芬兰国旗。林把它放在书桌上。
At 4:00 p.m., the sun goes down. Lin finishes his homework. He looks at the flag and smiles.
下午4点，太阳落山。林完成作业。他看着那面小旗，笑了。
