【短文】社团招新日
The notice board is full of colourful paper. "Club Fair, Friday, 3 p.m., school hall," it says.
公告栏上贴满了彩色的纸。上面写着：“社团招新日，周五下午3点，学校礼堂。”
Lily stands in front of the drama club table. A tall boy with a drum in his hands smiles at her. "Hi, I'm Alex. Do you want to join the drama club? We act out short plays."
莉莉站在戏剧社的桌子前。一个手里拿着鼓的高个子男孩对她微笑。“嗨，我是亚历克斯。你想加入戏剧社吗？我们表演短剧。”
"I'm not good at acting," Lily says. "I can't sing well. I'm only interested in animals and nature."

"That's exactly right for our new club!" Alex says. "Look, we have a wildlife club too. We take photos, collect insects, and discover new things in the park. The news is that we need more than ten new members soon."

Lily's eyes open wide. "Really? Can I choose both?"

"Yes! You can join the drama club and the wildlife club. But you must have time for both," Alex says.
“可以！你可以加入戏剧社和野生动物社。但你必须两个都有时间，”亚历克斯说。
Lily thinks for a minute. "I can paint the animal pictures for the play," she says. "And I can climb trees to take photos of birds."

Alex laughs. "That's a good ability. We have a musical instrument too — this drum. You can play it in the play."

Lily feels happy. She writes her name on two lists. "I'm at home here," she thinks.

On Friday, Lily brings her paints and her camera. She paints a big green tree for the play. Then she runs to the park with the wildlife club. She falls in love with a small brown insect on a leaf. She takes a photo of it.
周五，莉莉带来了颜料和相机。她为话剧画了一棵大绿树。然后她和野生动物社一起跑到公园。她爱上了一片叶子上的一只棕色小昆虫。她给它拍了张照片。
At 5 p.m., she sits on the school steps. The sun is warm. The drum is in her bag, and the photo is in her hand. She smiles.
下午5点，她坐在学校台阶上。阳光温暖。鼓在她包里，照片在她手里。她笑了。
