【短文】204教室的魔法
It is 3:30 PM on a Tuesday. Li Wei is in the classroom after school. He is good with numbers, but today he has a problem.
现在是周二下午3:30。李伟放学后待在教室里。他很擅长数字，但今天他遇到了一个难题。
"I can't work out this math problem," he says. "Math is boring. I don't need it in the future."
"我解不出这道数学题，"他说，"数学太无聊了。我将来用不上它。"
Chen Jie is his classmate. She is excellent at biology and IT. She sits down next to him. "Look at my geography homework," she says. "We use numbers to remember the past. History is useful too. My uncle is a French singer. He uses numbers for music. He is good at many instruments."
陈洁是他的同学。她生物和信息技术很出色。她坐到他旁边。"看看我的地理作业，"她说，"我们用数字来记住过去。历史也很有用。我叔叔是法国歌手。他用数字做音乐。他擅长很多乐器。"
Li Wei listens to her. "OK. Help me with this problem, please." Chen Jie points at the paper. "First, find the reason. Then work out the number." Ten minutes later, Li Wei says, "I can do it now!"
李伟听着。"好吧。请帮我做这道题。"陈洁指着纸。"首先，找到原因。然后算出数字。"十分钟后，李伟说："我现在会做了！"
The next morning, in class, the teacher says, "Who wants to help with the science club this term?" Li Wei puts up his hand. "Me! I want to be a scientist in the future." Chen Jie smiles. The sun comes in and shines on his notebook.
第二天早上，在课堂上，老师说："这学期谁愿意帮忙科学社团？"李伟举起手。"我！我将来想当科学家。"陈洁笑了。阳光照进来，落在他的笔记本上。
