【短文】校园院子里的鹅
It is Monday morning. The bell rings. Kate runs to the school yard. She sees a big box near the gate.
星期一早上。铃响了。凯特跑到学校院子里。她看见大门旁边有一个大箱子。
A goose is in the box. Its head is out. Kate looks at the goose. "Hello! Where is your home?" she says.
箱子里有一只鹅。它的头伸了出来。凯特看着这只鹅。“你好！你的家在哪儿？”她说。
Tom comes. "What is in the box?" he asks. "A goose!" Kate says. "It is fun to see a goose here. But the box is small. Let's find its home."
汤姆来了。“箱子里是什么？”他问。“一只鹅！”凯特说。“在这儿看到一只鹅真好玩。但箱子太小了。我们帮它找家吧。”
They go to the school farm. Mr. Li is there. He is in the yard with some carrots.
他们去学校农场。李老师在那儿。他在院子里，手里拿着一些胡萝卜。
"We find a goose," Kate says. "Is it yours?" "No," Mr. Li says. "But Mrs. Zhou has six geese. Maybe this one is from her farm."
“我们发现一只鹅，”凯特说。“是您的吗？”“不是，”李老师说。“但周老师有六只鹅。也许这只来自她的农场。”
Kate and Tom take the goose to Mrs. Zhou. She is in her yard. She is counting her geese. "One, two, three, four, five," she counts. "Oh! One is not here!"
凯特和汤姆带着鹅去周老师那儿。她在她的院子里。她正在数她的鹅。“一、二、三、四、五，”她数着。“哦！有一只不在这儿！”
"Look at this one!" Tom says. The goose runs to the other geese. Now there are six geese in the yard.
“看这只！”汤姆说。这只鹅跑向其他的鹅。现在院子里有六只鹅了。
"Thank you," Mrs. Zhou says. "You can come and look at them another day. For fun, you can give them names. They like carrots."
“谢谢你们，”周老师说。“你们改天可以来看看它们。想玩的话，可以给它们取名字。它们喜欢胡萝卜。”
After school, Kate and Tom stand near the school gate. Kate counts the geese in her head. "Six," she says. Then she draws a circle in her notebook. In the circle she writes one word: Goose.
放学后，凯特和汤姆站在学校大门旁。凯特在心里数着那些鹅。“六只，”她说。然后她在笔记本上画了一个圆圈。在圆圈里她写了一个词：鹅。
