【短文】新铃声
The bell rings. It is the first day of school.
铃声响了。这是开学第一天。
In Class 3, a new boy stands at the door. His name is Li Wei.
在三班，一个叫李伟的新生站在门口。
“Hello, everyone. I am Li Wei. Nice to greet you all.”
“大家好。我是李伟。很高兴认识你们。”
“Welcome, Li Wei! You can sit here, next to Zhang Hua,” says Miss Wang.
“欢迎你，李伟！你可以坐这儿，在张华旁边，”王老师说。
Li Wei sits down. He opens his Starter Unit 1 book.
李伟坐下。他打开《预备单元1》的书。
“This is Unit 1, Section A. We start a conversation today,” Miss Wang says.
“这是第一单元A部分。我们今天开始学对话，”王老师说。
“How do you spell ‘conversation’?” asks Li Wei.
“conversation怎么拼？”李伟问。
“C-O-N-V-E-R-S-A-T-I-O-N,” says Zhang Hua slowly.
“C-O-N-V-E-R-S-A-T-I-O-N，”张华慢慢地说。
“Oh, I see. Thank you,” Li Wei says.
“哦，我明白了。谢谢，”李伟说。
At lunch, Li Wei sits alone. He looks at his rice. He does not talk.
午饭时，李伟一个人坐着。他看着米饭，不说话。
Zhang Hua comes over. “Hey, why are you quiet? Let’s greet each other again.”
张华走过来。“嘿，你怎么不说话？我们再互相问候一次吧。”
“I am new. I don’t know anyone,” says Li Wei.
“我是新来的。我不认识任何人，”李伟说。
“That’s easy. I am Zhang Hua. I like basketball. What about you?”
“那容易。我是张华。我喜欢篮球。你呢？”
“I like drawing. I can draw the school garden,” Li Wei says.
“我喜欢画画。我可以画学校的花园，”李伟说。
“Great! We have a drawing club on Friday. You can join us,” says Zhang Hua.
“太好了！我们周五有绘画社团。你可以加入我们，”张华说。
Li Wei smiles. He takes out a small notebook. He draws a bell.
李伟笑了。他拿出一个小本子，画了一个铃铛。
“What is that?” asks Zhang Hua.
“那是什么？”张华问。
“It is our school bell. It starts our first conversation,” Li Wei says.
“那是我们学校的铃声。它开始了我们的第一次对话，”李伟说。
Zhang Hua laughs. “You are funny. Let’s go to the library after class.”
张华笑了。“你真有趣。下课后我们去图书馆吧。”
“OK. I can show you my drawing of the bell,” Li Wei says.
“好的。我可以给你看我的铃铛画，”李伟说。
The bell rings again. It is time for the next class.
铃声又响了。该上下一节课了。
Li Wei puts his notebook in his bag. He walks to the classroom with Zhang Hua.
李伟把本子放进书包。他和张华一起走向教室。
On the way, they greet each other with a smile.
路上，他们微笑着互相问候。
The classroom door is open. The teacher is writing on the blackboard.
教室门开着。老师正在黑板上写字。
Li Wei finds his seat. He looks at the bell on his notebook and smiles.
李伟找到自己的座位。他看着本子上的铃铛，笑了。
