If you don't know anything about me, I am an English teacher that teaches you guys American English at different places.

And today, we are at Best Buy.

Best Buy is a famous retail store that sells electronic devices.

I recently made a video on Instagram about teaching things in this store, Best Buy, And I had a ton of different comments about people wanting me to return back to the store and record.

So today I am here at Best Buy and I'm going to take you guys along with me to learn a lot of electronic vocabulary.

So come along with me.

When I first walk inside through these doors, the first thing I see is this yellow basket.

So this is kind of like a grocery store.

So you can grab this basket.

If you're going to buy a small amount of items or to my right they actually have shopping carts so once again this is just like a grocery store and if you're buying a large amount of.

items you can grab a shopping cart instead of a basket. Now that I'm inside this store I am not going to grab a basket or a shopping cart because I am just looking around this store.

I am browsing around for the items that they have.

I have a question for you guys.

If you guys were at an electronic store like Best Buy, what is the first thing you guys would buy?

Would you buy a TV, a phone?

Let me know.

But now let's go ahead and walk around the store and see what different sections and items they have in each section.

I'm going to start from this side of the store and you guys might be wondering arianita why are you walking through a front door that's in the middle of the store? Well this front door.

right here is just a display and it is displaying this security camera right here. This company is called ring they make devices like security cameras and also alarm keypads to enter.

your home. I'm walking through this blue front door once again and this security camera right here is just for a front door so people will only buy this if they want to put it next to.

the front door. Also this camera right here has become very popular because if you were to order a package from amazon from a big company any store any retail store people like a security.

camera so they can watch the delivery drivers drop off your items next to your front door. This security camera costs $169.99 and it not only functions as.

a camera but it also functions as a doorbell.

So let's ring the doorbell.

I just ring the doorbell and as you can see I can make a voice message or a call in front of the store.

They have so many more options right behind me of the ring camera.

So you can buy a security camera for outside of your house, the front door, the backyard and it comes with a wide variety of different prices.

For example, this one right here I think is the most expensive and the biggest camera at $250.

Now let's go ahead and look for other things that they have inside the store.

I've got to be honest with you guys, I didn't know Best Buy had appliances.

What is an appliance?

An appliance is just an electronic device for your home.

Let's see what different types of electronic appliances they have here.

How do you call this appliance that would go inside your kitchen?

This is a dishwasher so I'm going to open this up and this has a rack where you would put your dirty dishes and then on the bottom they have another rack where you can load larger items.

like plates, pans, and utensils.

To wash your dirty dishes you would put this rack inside and then you would open up this container where you add dishwasher detergent.

This dishwasher is very common to have in most kitchens in the United States so I'm just going to go ahead and close this door and see what other appliances they have.

Right behind me you have this glass surface to cook food or you can boil water.

What is it called?

This is called a glass stovetop.

Glass stovetop.

The prices can range depending on the stovetop you're looking for.

So this one right here is around $700 and it has buttons right here where you can control the heat.

But this one right here is $2,000 because this has a touch screen or you just touch it right here to control the heat.

If you guys are coffee lovers, you will absolutely love this section I will teach you.

Right now I am in the coffee machine section where there are different coffee machines and espresso machines.

Right here this is just a coffee machine and it has a coffee pot.

So this coffee pot will brew coffee inside with coffee beans.

But this one right here you can just open it up and you can put coffee pods inside and it costs $200.

If you live in a house with a yard with grass, you may need to cut your grass or mow the lawn.

You would cut your grass or mow your lawn with this machine right here.

What is it called?

This machine is called a lawnmower.

Lawnmower, and you use it to mow the lawn or cut your grass.

Also, this lawnmower costs $480.

Would you guys buy that?

Is it expensive or cheap for you?

Also, if you want to take better care of your yard and your grass they also have three more items to take care of your home so this is a blower this is a weed walker and right here.

This is a chainsaw. Did you guys know the names of these three items right here? Is an item that 10 years ago didn't even exist. Well I think it didn't exist because it wasn't even popular.

this right here is called an air fryer and you use it by frying things inside and the nice thing about an air fryer is you do not need to use oil to cook your food.

So you'll put fries inside, you can cook chicken, steak and then you'll close this and then you'll set a timer and then your food will be done.

Now I'm in the camera section and as you can see right here they have so many different types of digital cameras.

The nice thing is you can actually turn these cameras on and take pictures or take photos.

I'm going to take a photo of this right here.

This is a display of a city.

When you use a digital camera, you can zoom in the lens and then focus in the viewfinder.

And there we go.

I just took a photo.

The price of a digital camera can range from $500 up to over $2,000.

Also cameras can be very expensive.

As you can see behind me, these are lenses.

So the camera body is one price and the lenses can be a different price.

And these lenses can be over $2,400.

These lenses right here are big because they can take a picture far away.

And if you would see that picture, it would look like you were right next to the thing you're taking a picture of. This electronic store has so many different types of devices, appliances.

and gadgets, but one thing that really draws my attention is this section right here. This is the tv section. As you can see behind me there are so many flat screen tvs in this section.

with different lengths, sizes and let's go check some out. The.

first thing that you guys see if you want to buy a tv are the different types of brands that they have inside this store. They have tcl, hisense, samsung, sony and lg. The.

second thing you may need to know when you buy a tv is the size of the tv, how big the screen is. So the size of tvs here are in inches and this tv behind me is 85.

inches.

This screen is huge.

This screen over here is 75 inches.

Do you guys see how big that one is versus how small this one is?

Now let's check out the price of each TV.

This TV 85 inches is around $7000 and this one right above me is 75 inches and it costs $4300.

and right below the 75 inch this TV right here is 65 inches and it costs around $1,000.

Which one would you choose if you were to buy one?

If those prices over there of the huge flat screen TVs were out of your budget, I have a TV that is in your budget.

This is a 24 inch flat screen TV and the price is around $65.

$65 is very cheap compared to the other prices.

An important part about buying a TV is also buying something for the sound system.

What is this called?

This is called a sound bar.

This brand right here, this sound bar, TCL, costs $200.

Sound bars have a price range from $100 up to $600 depending on the type of sound you want to buy for your TV.

If you are a gamer and do not want to buy a PS5, instead you can buy an arcade machine for the same price, around $500.

They have a pac-man machine where you can go back in time and play your favorite game and you can also play mortal kombat. So i'm gonna play one game. I'm gonna press this red button.

and see if i can win one game. Oh.

no, i just lost the game. Turns out i'm not so good after all, but i can keep on practicing at this store. If you're a big fan of pokemon you can buy this pokeball and pikachu will be inside.

Pikachu cost eight dollars and 99 cents. Are you guys interested in being in the metaverse? Well they have a display right here of an item that they sell that's around 300 where you can.

be a part of virtual reality. So they have this headset and two controllers you can buy. Now that we're almost finished we're at the other end of the store. You guys know that we went.

to the appliance section we went to the tv section we checked out some cool video games now we are in the apple section.

They have a little mini Apple display where they have phones, computers, laptops.

Would you guys have ever thought about that?

That they would have an Apple store inside Best Buy?

I sure wouldn't.

These phones are on display and they have different versions of them, different sizes.

Also, you can go ahead and check out this phone by unlocking it and using it to see if you want to buy it.

So I can check out the camera, take a selfie, or I can see the different apps they have.

just to see if I like it.

Now, how do you call this thing where you listen to music?

These are called headphones or because this is an Apple product, they are called AirPods.

So like AirPods, you have the phone.

This is called an iPhone or a phone.

This right here is a computer and this is a computer screen or just a screen.

Also, a computer has a keyboard that you type on.

If you want to change websites, you need to use a mouse to change your page and then you can type on the keyboard.

Also right here, this is a CPU central processing unit that has a monitor.

Can you believe how small it is?

Also, these are just some of the Apple products they have here in the store, but let me know down below if you guys would want me to go to the Apple store to show you a wide variety.

If you buy something you will go to the checkout counter and check out your items.

Right now there is no one in line so you can easily buy something at the counter.

Also if you want to pay for something you would pay with cash, credit card, or Apple Pay.

If you want to buy something online and you don't want to walk around the store and waste your time you can pick it up at the store pickup right over here.
